Opening – I.T. Lead - 1 position


Position Description

Reporting to our Bangalore, India office, this position is responsible for insuring efficient operations and support of local information technology systems. This includes:
· Planning & scheduling network and service downtime for upgrades and maintenance
· Coordinating maintenance or upgrades with Corporate headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts to minimize downtime
· Maintenance of configuration and support docume! ntation for information technology assets
This high visibility role is critical to the success of the I.T. team.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for:
· Management of the existing network infrastructure and implementation of new technologies
· Management, configuration & troubleshooting of SNOM-based telephony infrastructure with SNOM Proxy & SNOM IP Phones
· Configuration and management of Microsoft Windows serve! rs inclu ding Domain Controllers, Microsoft Active Directory and DNS servers
· Performance tuning and optimization
· Troubleshooting LAN/WAN related issues
· Helpdesk support for day-to-day operations
· Backup, restore of all the critical data using Veritas backup
· Business Continuity and Disast! er Recovery planning and implementation

Requirements

5+ years directly related experience
Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects
Excellent analytical, problem solving, oral, telephone, written and presentation communication skills
Eager to learn new technologies
Excellent customer service skills
Must be able to work outside normal business hours when necessary to resolve critical issues
Some travel required (less than 10%) to other company locations

Educati on

BA/BS degree or more than 5 years of directly related technical experience


Certifications

Microsoft, SNOM, Veritas certifications are a plus
