Description:
This position is for a Sr. Database System Administrator who as part of the
database team will be responsible for installations, configurations,
performance, backup & recovery and daily database operational tasks. Works
with the developers and customers of the data to assist, manage and modify
to meet the business requirements. Participate in projects as the database
resource. Be proactive in recommending updates and improvements to existing
systems. Assist with establishing policies and procedures pertaining to
database management. This is a 24/7 support initiative which requires
carrying of a pager.


Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or
equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience administering
Oracle 9i and 10g on IBM AIX and Windows platforms is required. Problem
resolution, customer service, and multi-tasking skills are all key
attributes.
